Good Bible Trivia ("we") runs this website, goodbibletrivia.org, as a free companion to our YouTube channel. This page explains what information the site handles. The short version: we do not sell personal information, and the only place we collect anything is the optional inquiry form on the Downloads page.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used - which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what device type they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data under its own privacy terms. The data we see is aggregated; we do not use it to identify individual visitors. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).

Embedded YouTube videos

Quiz and story videos are embedded from YouTube using the standard player at youtube.com. Where the player loads, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and receive data - including your IP address and which page you are viewing - and playing a video sends further data. All of this is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab); we receive none of it.

When the player loads depends on the page. On the video pages under /watch/, the player loads with the page, so YouTube receives data as soon as the page opens, whether or not you press play. On the book pages and the story pages, you see a still image hosted by us and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play - the poster image is our own artwork, served from this site. Pages with no video - the quizzes, the Sunday school packs, the store, Downloads, and this page - load nothing from YouTube at all.

The inquiry form

If you send a custom-quiz inquiry from the Downloads page, we receive the name, email, message, and optional budget you provide, by email, so we can reply. We use it only to answer you; we do not add you to any list or share it.

Quizzes

The on-page quizzes run entirely in your browser. Your answers and scores are not transmitted to us or stored anywhere after you leave the page.

Children

The site is family friendly and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
