The same account with the detail put back in - four parts instead of three, and the full memory verse rather than a phrase. Questions start asking not just what happened but in what order, and the activity moves from matching to filling the missing words of the verse from memory.
Every lesson is free to read in full and free to print. Each one has a memory verse, the account in four parts, a quiz with a KJV answer key, and an activity sized for ages 10-12.
- 1 David and Goliath 1 Samuel 17 · 10 questions · 4 parts “the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands” 1 Samuel 17:47 The Philistine army and the army of Israel faced each other across the valley of Elah. A champion named Goliath of Gath came out of the Philistine camp.
- 2 Noah's Ark Genesis 6-9 · 10 questions · 4 parts “Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.” Genesis 6:22 In Noah's day the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and it grieved God at his heart. God decided he would blot out what he had made, but Noah stood apart from everyone else.
- 3 Adam and Eve Genesis 2-3 · 10 questions · 4 parts “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:17 The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. God planted a garden eastward in Eden and put the man there.

Pharaoh made ready his chariot and took his people with him: six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, with captains over every one of them. The Egyptians pursued and overtook Israel encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.
- 5 Creation Genesis 1 · 10 questions · 4 parts “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” Genesis 1:31 Genesis opens with a sentence that settles who owns everything: in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The earth was without form, and void, darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
- 6 Daniel in the Lions' Den Daniel 6 · 10 questions · 4 parts “he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” Daniel 6:10 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, and over these three presidents, of whom Daniel was first. Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.” Luke 10:37 A certain lawyer stood up and tempted Jesus, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus turned the question back on him: What is written in the law? how readest thou? The lawyer answered correctly, quoting the command to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Jesus said, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
- 10 Elijah on Mount Carmel 1 Kings 18 · 10 questions · 4 parts “How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.” 1 Kings 18:21 When Ahab saw Elijah, he said, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? Elijah refused the charge and turned it around: I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim. Then he gave his instruction: gather all Israel unto mount Carmel, with the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.
